City Painter: a review of the 80s recreational game, updated for iOS
City Painter (iOS) is a version of the classic Jaleco City Connection, a little known recreational game that also reached the NES and MSX computers back in the mid-80s. Its author is Iván Cerra, who occasionally we It brings reviews including classics like Scramble, Moon Crest, Galaxians and Asteroids.
In this game everything is as simple as painting the road of the various scenarios, being careful to avoid other cars and cats. The balloons act as "teleportation door" to travel to other countries.
An interesting peculiarity is that when you make an adaptation of this style you can afford some special detail; In this case Iván has added the stages of Madrid, with its skyscrapers, taxis and even cars of the National Police to give it a different touch.
