How to Modify, Create, and Delete User Accounts in windows 10



Windows 10 provides two tools for modifying, creating, and deleting user accounts: Press Windows+I to bring up the Settings app, and then click “Accounts.” (for creating and managing user accounts m a workgroup)

The User Accounts tool in Windows 10 is one of the tools that you use to modify, create, and delete local user accounts when working in a workgroup environment.







How to Modify an Existing User Account by Using the User Accounts Tool


If you are an administrator, the family and other people task allows you to make change to any user account on the computer. If you are logged on with a limited user account you do not see the same Pick A Task page as an administrator; you see only a Pick A Task page that contains some of the following options that an administrator can perform:

This settings options in windows 10 allows you to change  the user account name of an account on the computer. Creates a password for your account. Changes the password for your account.
  Removes the password for your account or any other account on the computer.
 Changes the picture that appears on the Welcome screen.   Changes the account type for a specified account. Delete The Account Deletes a specified user account. All that options You only see this option if you are logged on as an administrator because only an administrator can perform these tasks.

  •   When you delete a user account. there Is no way to recover the permissions and the rights that are associated with that account. Also. when you delete a user account. Windows 10 displays the Do You Want To Keep local_user_account's Files window. it you click Keep Files. Windows 10 saves the contents of the user's desktop and My Documents folder to a new folder named Iocal_user_account on your desktop. However. It cannot save user's e-mail messages, Internet Favorites. or other settings.


How to Delete a User in windows 10


  • First at all,you must be login as an administrator to be able to delete a user account in windows 10
  •  You will need to sign out the user first to be able to delete it

  1. Press Windows key, click on Settings.
  2. Click on Account, click on Family and other users.
  3. Select the user you want to delete in Other users and click on Remove.
  4. Accept the UAC (User Account Control) prompt.
  5. Select Delete account and data if you wish to delete account and the data and follow onscreen instructions.
