The unpublished script by Colin Trevorrow for 'Star Wars' could have been leaked: this is 'The Rise of Skywalker' that we never saw

Star Wars: Duel of the Fates' is the title that received the script that Colin Trevorrow wrote to close the third trilogy of 'Star Wars', which has ended up becoming' The Rise of Skywalker 'directed by JJ Abrams. A delivery, as we know, irregular and discussed, and whose income has been far from matching the collections of the other installments of the series.
Trevorrow was fired two years after the premiere of the film, and it was decided to require Abrams services again, which by then had cleared the agenda, which had kept him out of the saga after directing 'The Force Awakens'. And now, through a Reddit thread (which many media such as Slashfilm or AV Club have confirmed that it is reliable), details of the script that Trevorrow wrote in the company of his usual Derek Connolly have been leaked.
To start, much more Leia. The reason is clear: Carrie Fisher had not yet died when Trevorow wrote this script, so it makes perfect sense. The starting point, that is to say, the initial signs, read as follows: "The iron glove of the FIRST ORDER has expanded to the remotest confines of the galaxy. Only some planets remain unoccupied. Betrayals are punished. with death: Determined to quell the growing discomfort, Supreme Leader KYLO REN has silenced all communications between neighboring systems Directed by GENERAL LEIA ORGANA, the Resistance has planned a secret mission to prevent annihilation and forge a path to destruction. freedom..."

Of course, this time the Emperor does not appear at any time. Except, of course, in an old hologram addressed to Vader, where he orders, if Luke Skywalker kills him, to take him to the Remnicore System to see Tor Valum, Palpatine's teacher. Kylo Ren lives, at this point, tormented by the ghost of Luke, who implores him not to let himself be dragged along the dark side of the force, with phrases that we would have liked to hear on Mark Hammill's lips, like "This is where he leads the dark path: to an empty tomb ".
Valum, however, is located by Ren, in what appears to be one of the most sinister creations of the saga: a seven thousand-year-old creature that the script directly describes as "lovecraftiana." Of course, Kylo trains with Cthulhu, has a couple of words with the Vader spectrum and heals a wound of the face with molten mandalorian armor. Molten Mandalorian armor, nothing less. Well, we don't have Babu Frik, but we have this.

Meanwhile, Rey continues to train, tormented in turn by Kylo Ren's revelation that his parents were no one important. But he gains confidence with a few words from Leia, who tells him that "You are new. Whatever happens, remember that the Force chose you, King. You are a story that has not been written by anyone else." But there is more, of course: a tremendous team formed by Rose, Finn, R2D2 and C3PO set off on an independent mission to Coruscant in search of allies, and came to command an attack mission to the palace of the First Order.
Snoke is still the very bad guy behind everything, and it was he who ordered Kylo Ren to kill Rey's parents. Although Rey and Luke's ghosts, Obi-Wan (!!) and Yoda (!!!!) try to attract Ren to the light, the tactic does not work, and Rey ends up taking revenge. The First Order is defeated, and all in broad strokes the plot lines drawn by the first two films.

Possibly the most striking aspect of the script is Trevorrow's absolute refusal to redeem Kylo Ren in any way. It remains as a villain of cruelty comparable to the Emperor, and that would undoubtedly have caused fans to throw sparks, as they were thrown out with the revelation that King's parents had absolutely no importance in the great cosmic chess of the things of the Force . Particularly, and this is a personal opinion, I like it: we already had a great villain who redeemed himself, and frankly, Darth Vader sounds quite insurmountable in that regard. In any case, it is a much more successful option than the Redivive Emperor controlling everything from the backstage.
