The Status of JavaScript and CSS in 2019
The State of JavaScript 2019 collects as in other years the state of the JavaScript ecosystem, one of the languages used by web browsers and that has already turned 24 years old. The study was done by Sacha, Raphaƫl and Amelia and is based on more than 21,000 interviews / surveys.
Among other things, it includes statistics on the different flavors of JavaScript (TypeScript, Reason, elm, PureScript, ClojureScript), libraries and frameworks (React, Svelte, Vue.js, Preact, Angular, Ember), data management (GraphQL, Apollo, Redux, MobX, Relay) and back ends (Express, Next.js, Nuxt.js, Gatsby, Koa).
There is also talk about other tools, favorite resource sites where to learn and ask.
Another similar resource is The State of CSS in 2019 where a similar analysis is made but of CSS, the design language for the presentation of web pages. Here you can see from which units are the favorites for the development of the use of layouts, something relatively recent for the number of years that CSS has. Here is also a great list of resources to learn more.
