Starting a cold engine in winter, the enormous effort the car makes every morning in winter

We are already fully involved in the winter. The temperatures have collapsed and the days usually dawn dyed by a white tone off signal that a good frost has fallen. It has already directly affected the cars that sleep on the street and indirectly those that do it in the garage, the cold affects the engine, and much.

Motors are mechanical organisms designed to work optimally in a specific temperature window, so all the elements suffer especially in the start-up phase and during the first minutes of use.

To explain what happens inside the engine of a car when starting cold we will recover the fantastic video published by the Engineering Explained channel. In it we can see how the operation of an engine is analyzed under the prism of a thermal camera that graphically shows the temperature of each element through a color code.
